Sally Lipsky, PhD, had a successful career as Professor of Education. However, a diagnosis of late-stage cancer changed her path. She began educating herself about the power of food to heal and protect from disease, thereby starting her journey into plant-based eating. She earned a Certificate in Plant-based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies, completed the Food for Life Program Training, the Farms-to-Forks Weekend Immersion, and the Culinary Rx plant-based wellness course.

Combining her expertise in the field of adult learning with her knowledge and passion about plant-based nutrition, Sally leads presentations and workshops on topics related to plant-based nutrition. She authored the book Beyond Cancer: The Powerful Effect of Plant-Based Eating and has written educational articles and curriculums. She’s founder of the non-profit Food for Health and leader of Plant-Based Pittsburgh, with the mission of creating communities of health based on plant-centered food choices. She’s also a certified yoga instructor.
