Andrea Pender returns to the Plant-Based DFW Podcast show to talk about how important self-care is especially now that we are faced with a pandemic.
Andrea is a business development executive, a dedicated yogi, an avid learner (especially about health and wellness), and lover of all animals. She went vegan seven years ago after a friend of hers went vegan for Lent. Following in her friends' footsteps, Andrea also went vegan for thirty days. During this time she read The China Study and felt as though she were reading her family history of cancer, heart disease and high cholesterol. She immediately made the connection between what we eat and disease. Needless to say, Andrea never returned to eating animal-based foods.
Initially, Andrea's husband did not go vegan with her. While he would enjoy her delicious vegan meals at home, he would often consume animal-based products during his business meetings.
Andrea returns to our podcast to share her good news that it only took seven years for her husband to go vegan!! lol The plant-based diet has taken their workout routine to the next level and they are now training for a triathlon.
The Plant-Based Executive is Andrea's passion project where she helps educate executives and people in general on how to eat plant-based foods on a busy schedule and during their travels.
