Today we prepare this delicious vegan apple crips. This is dairy-free!

This is a comforting dish that the entire family will love.  The natural sweetness from the apples and the crunchy nuts cooked together with the oats create a dessert feel, however I’ve enjoyed this for breakfast too!

Plant-Based Apple Crisp

INGREDIENTS:
Serves 8
*3 pounds apples, peeled, cored and sliced into ½ slices, approximately 6-7 cups (Gala is what I used, but you can use Pink Lady, Honeycrisp or others)
*6 ounces unsweetened apple juice
*2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
*2 teaspoons vanilla extract
*2 teaspoons cinnamon
*2 teaspoons arrowroot powder (or cornstarch)
*¼ teaspoon nutmeg
*¼ teaspoon kosher salt or sea salt
*1 cup old-fashioned (whole) oats
*¼ cup flour (whole wheat, almond, gluten free)
*3 tablespoon unrefined sugar or choice (coconut, turbinado, maple)- WE DID NOT USE
*2 tablespoon real maple syrup or date syrup (or any syrup you like)
*1/2 cup chopped walnuts
*1/2 cup chopped dates
