These rolls are a Vietnamese dish traditionally consisting of pork, shrimp, veggies, vermicelli, and wrapped in rice paper. Vietnamese gỏi cuốn is the country's creation using rice paper. Gỏi cuốn are sometimes served fresh and sometimes fried. They are often a popular appetizer at Vietnamese restaurants.
